The Capitals host the New York Rangers for Game 3 of their First Round series tonight at Capital One Arena. Each game played between the Capitals and Rangers this season has been won by the home team, with Washington outscoring New York 7-2 over two games at Capital One Arena during the regular season.

Alex Ovechkin will play his 150th career playoff game tonight vs. New York. Ovechkin’s 149 playoff games played rank tied for ninth among active players, while his 1,575 combined regular season and playoff games played rank first. Ovechkin, 38, has scored the 12th-most goals (72) by a player at the time of their 150th playoff game in NHL history.

This season, Ovechkin became the sixth different player in NHL history to begin a season at age 38 or older and score 30 goals, and the oldest player to lead his team in goals since Brett Hull (37g at age 38) in 2002-03 (min. 30g).
